Reflecting a childhood spent on, in and around the ocean, acrylics artist Shanan Haislip's work focuses on water - the moods of it, the power of it, the way it bends and shapes light. She uses softly blended color in a style that's representational, but slightly larger-than-life, the way memories often appear when recalled in moments of longing.
